I need to have a VBA macro written for Mac for Excel 2011. Will enable me to 1. Select a cell in a worksheet 2. Open file name 3. Choose file (which is a picture). Insert picture into a specified cell. Resize picture automatically into cell, while maintaining the aspect ratio. Skills: Excel, Mac OS. VBA was removed from Mac Excel 2008, as the developers did not believe that a timely release would allow porting the VBA engine natively to Mac OS X. VBA was restored in the next version, Mac Excel 2011, although the build lacks support for ActiveX objects, impacting some high level developer tools.
Hi!
I need to create an Excel spreadsheet for invoices. I'd like the original to be Invoice 000001. Then, each time I open the sheet, I'd like it to increment +1, i.e., the first time I open the original, it becomes Invoice 000002, and so on.
I've been several hours now searching, and either nothing quite seems to fit, or it;s too advanced for me. I have zero macro experience, SEQ experience, etc., so if you have some thoughts, I would TRULYt appreciate it if you supplied them as though you were talking to your Labrador Retriever!
I know this is a matter of some fairly rudimentary code, but issues like where the code gets pasted, etc., are stumping me so far.
Thanks for any and all help!

Next, let's take a few moments to analyze the various sections in the Visual Basic editor.
In Excel 2011 for Mac, the Project Explorer is a window that can be accessed from the Visual Basic editor. It is a hierarchical listing of the objects recognized by VBA.

In this example, there are four Excel objects which represent each sheet and workbook in your Excel file - Sheet1, Sheet2, Sheet3, and ThisWorkbook.
There is also one module called Module1. The VBA code in Module1 can used anywhere in your spreadsheet. Whereas, the code within an Excel object is typically only used by that object.
If the Project Explorer is not visible when you open the Visual Basic editor, you can make it visible by selecting Project Explorer under the View menu.
